AN OPEN CALL

THIS IS AN INVITATION.

The programme is only the beginning. This is the part we build with you: our partners, our neighbours, and the people who make King's Cross what it is.

Together, every year, we'll celebrate one of the world's most creative, innovative and inspiring neighbourhoods.

A FESTIVAL FOR EVERYONE

A FESTIVAL IS ONLY AS OPEN AS THE PEOPLE WHO SHAPE IT

King's Cross is home to one of the world's greatest concentrations of culture, science, technology, education and creativity. Yet so much of what happens here exists in silos, hidden behind doors or known only to a few.

Vision Festival exists to change that. By opening up the programme, we're inviting the people and organisations who make this neighbourhood extraordinary to shape it together.

Whether it's a talk, workshop, exhibition, performance, screening, installation, live experience or something that doesn't fit a category, we'd love to hear your proposal.

01

Open to everyone

Partners, residents, students, and independent makers. No institution required, no fee to submit.

02

Read by the programming team

Every submission is read. We reply to all of them by 14 August, whether or not we can programme it this year.

03

Supported end to end

Selected ideas get a slot, a space across the King's Cross venues, production support, and a place in the campaign.

HOW VISION FESTIVAL WORKS

01
OPEN TO EVERYONE

Vision Festival brings together programming from across King's Cross.

Alongside the events we present at Town Hall, and the programmes hosted by our partner organisations in their own venues, we also invite organisations, institutions, businesses, charities, artists, community groups and individuals to become part of the festival.

Whether you're hosting something in your own space or looking to collaborate with others, we'd love to hear your idea.

Events can be free or ticketed, but they should be open and welcoming to people beyond your existing community.

02
BE PART OF VISION FESTIVAL

Events should take place between 25–27 September 2026.

You remain in control of your event, including ticketing, registration and delivery. We'll feature your event on the Vision Festival website and promote it as part of the wider festival programme.

03
Bring something distinctive

We're particularly interested in ideas that bring together different disciplines, sectors, communities and ways of thinking.

CULTURE MEETING SCIENCE.

TECHNOLOGY MEETING CREATIVITY.

BUSINESS MEETING EDUCATION.

ART MEETING RESEARCH.

This isn't essential, but it captures the spirit of Vision Festival: creating unexpected conversations, collaborations and connections across King's Cross.

04
Help us connect audiences

We'll feature your event on the Vision Festival website and promote it as part of the wider festival programme.

In return, we simply ask that you:

01
Identify your event as part of Vision Festival in your own communications and on your own website.
02
Share the Vision Festival website and festival programme with your audiences, not just your own event.

THE AMBITION IS SIMPLE.

We want audiences from every participating organisation to discover everything happening across King's Cross. By sharing the full festival programme, together we can introduce people to extraordinary organisations, inspiring venues and brilliant ideas they might otherwise never encounter.
