Join Kings Place Artists-in-Residence GBSR Duo for the world premiere of Turn Portrait, a new work by Canadian composer Sarah Davachi.
Davachi is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary music, known internationally for immersive and contemplative sound worlds. Her work explores the subtle intricacies of timbre and the perception of time, drawing listeners into states of heightened attention and deep listening.
The premiere is presented in partnership with d&b audiotechnik's en-space technology, a pioneering system that allows acoustic environments to be shaped and transformed in real time. It opens up a completely new dimension of listening in Hall Two.
One hour, no interval, and a piece of music that will only ever sound like this once.
