LYYRA: RISING

Join Lyyra, the acclaimed women's ensemble from the VOCES8 Foundation, as they return to Kings Place after a sell-out debut.

Rising moves freely across five centuries and half a dozen genres, taking in William Byrd, Caroline Shaw, Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon and Laura Mvula, with music from the group’s debut Warner Classics album.

Lyyra is the only professional six-voice women's a cappella group in the United States, formed within the VOCES8 Foundation, the education organisation established by the internationally renowned vocal ensemble VOCES8. Since their first concert in 2024 they have been pushing at what is possible with six women's voices.

Whether you come for the early music or stay for the pop, this is a programme built to be heard live in a room designed for it.
