Join RNS Moves for a Sunday afternoon that travels four centuries in sixty minutes.
The programme opens with the elegant curtain music from Timon of Athens and moves through the glowing harmonies of Caroline Shaw and the still, meditative beauty of Arvo Pärt's Spiegel im Spiegel. Markus Zahnhausen's Lux Aeterna and Mozart's delicate Adagio for Glass Harmonica bring moments of light and reflection, before Dani Howard's sparkling Vino Encores adds a burst of energy. It closes with the third movement of Philip Glass's Symphony No. 3, where pulsing rhythms and shimmering strings create a sound world that is both hypnotic and deeply moving.
RNS Moves is a one-of-a-kind ensemble made up of professional disabled musicians alongside non-disabled members of Royal Northern Sinfonia.
A chance to slow down, switch off and immerse yourself in beautiful music for a Sunday afternoon to remember.
