Backgammon & Wax

Backgammon & Wax blends a 40-player backgammon tournament with strictly vinyl DJ sets and a generous dose of social energy. Launched by Uncle Vibes and actor, rapper and comedian Doc Brown in April 2025, the event has grown from a one-off into a vibrant mixed community for seasoned players and curious first-timers alike.

It now pops up at venues across London, New York City and Jamaica, where its mix of competition, music and good groove is fast becoming a cult favourite.
