Aga Khan Centre

Overview

The Aga Khan Centre is a place of education, knowledge, cultural exchange and insight into Muslim civilisations. The UK home of three organisations founded by the late Aga Khan IV, it was designed by distinguished architect Fumihiko Maki to embody openness, dialogue and pluralism.

Its nine-storey atrium and six gardens, courtyards and terraces draw on Islamic landscape traditions from around the world, creating spaces for students, scholars, staff and the public to meet, learn and exchange ideas.
